One Shot Joe

Monday, August 25th, 2008

They’re calling my son: One Shot Joe. This after he killed his first kill with one shot. That bullet entered the other boys skull and exited from the boys neck. It was a head shot from above. A Perched Shot it is called. Boy is saying that a Perched Shot doesn’t earn as many Honor Points for it is limited to areas with place to perch.

The boy has learn the Honor Points system first in class, too. That’s two points for my now big boy. Those Warrior Supplements sure to make the body grow. But not as much the head. Maybe that’s why that older boy got hit in eye and those other two shots during the past two games only grazed the side of his head.

That’s right. My boy had two head shots graze the side of his small head. During the last war games. Damn near took an eye out. Amazing they did miss. I guess praying keeps the head small. …While head shots are popular.

I guess Small Head Joe is not better than One Shot Joe. Maybe they could call him Two Shoot Joe? But then again nickname is given for the first kill and not the first near killed.

Killing Time

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Going with the wife to see my son get first kill. Yeah, that’s right. My boy’s going to do his first kill today. Kind of excited. Kind of excited to see him get his first kill medal.

My wife doesn’t know how to be feeling. She’s more normal than she was before. I think the special training is wearing off. It’s going good. She still does morning exercise. She still goes runs mission with the boy when he is not at the Army Training Center. But she not that happy about the kill tomorrow. The kill tomorrow got her talking and thinking more about boy being to kill so easy. She’s becoming to think of the past. I hope the Army won’t take her again.

They won’t take her tomorrow because the boy’s going on the mission now. He’s out sleeping looking for the objective to kill. There’s twelve of them. The kill will go down at HQ before the stands. The kid don’t know it, but all will be watching. We got to be there if he gets all fussy.

It’s weird the boy looks like he’s about 10 but acting like he is 1. Cries and wants to nurse and suck on things. The Army growth pills only grow the body.
